Q: Is the Houston Chevrolet SSR any good?
A: I love the Houston Chevrolet SSR. It isn’t like any other car out there. Unlike weird looking cars like the PT Cruiser, it has a claim to individuality based on some actual innovation instead of someone closing their eyes and scribbling on a piece of paper. It’s like a cross between a truck and sports convertible.
The top on the Houston Chevrolet SSR is a power hard top, which makes it safer. The last time I had a convertible was several years ago, and it was a soft top, and one day someone just cut through it. They didn’t take anything, just cut through it. I think the hardtop adds some extra theft and vandalism prevention without sacrificing style. It also hides standing up between the seats, which gives a lot more room to store things in and to just lay back.
It has a lot of standards that are more than basic necessities:
- keyless entry
- leather upholstery
- full power accessories
- cruise control
If you decide to add options to it, you can also get a better sound system, chrome wheels, and paint that changes colors in the light. I got the last option, and it’s the envy of everyone.
The one problem that I have with my Houston Chevrolet SSR is that it isn’t the safest vehicle around. I equipped it with some extra safety features, like traction control, but my car insurance rate is still through the roof. What it does have is a lot of power, with a 6.0 liter V6 engine and 395 horsepower. If you end up buying it, I hope you like it!
