The Houston Chevrolet Impala that I have had for a couple of months has been pretty satisfying. The V6 engine packs power and works well, and the space and comfort levels are fantastic. I always have a few people in my car, and it balances well and everybody ends up with enough room to be themselves in, whatever that may be. There are a couple of areas that I’m not fond of, such as the suspension which is a little too soft and makes it difficult to handle, and also though the back is more spacious for the torso and arms, the legs can be cramped.
I got the top tier model, which is the Houston Chevrolet Impala SS, and it comes with so many standard features that I don’t even know where to start.
- 18 inch wheels
- performance tuned suspension
- rear spoiler
- monochromatic paint
- bucket seats
- Bose sound system
- dual zone climate control
- heated driver seats
I could go on. I also felt in the mood for splurging, so I added a few options as well.
- OnStar
- traction control
- satellite radio
- DVD entertainent system
- anti lock brakes
The horsepower is only 211 coming from the 3.5 liter V6 engine, so it’s not that great, but power isn’t what I’m interested in so much as the smoothness of the ride, which my Houston Chevrolet Impala definitely has. It’s also very good on gas, with twenty eight miles per gallon on the freeway, and that’s under the stricter 2008 EPA standards.
